Hon. Abaho Melania promises to Focus on practical solutions as She Represent Ugandan interests in the EALA.

KAMPALA, UGANDA- April 3, 2026: Hon Abaho Melania is a vibrant NRM cardre vying for a parliamentary seat in the East Africa Legislative Assembly(EALA), focusing on regional challenges including highlighting a peaceful solution of conflicts in South Sudan, Congo, and as well supporting Uganda’s business community in the region.
While adressing the media recently, she emphasized a collective action for peace and stability adding that she is well-positioned to advocate for Ugandan interests, given her understanding of regional dynamics of East Africa for locality.
She also advocates for safety and compensation frameworks to ensure traders are supported and always compensated in time if their items are damaged while carrying out their business outside Uganda.

Her experience with regional issues informs her approach to fostering cooperation among partner states namely Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Kenya Tanzania and others narrating that she ia committed to promoting economic growth eiyhin EastvAfrican states.

Her manifesto prioritizes economic empowerment, focusing on trade facilitation and reducing barriers hence boosting Inter-Regional trade and investment among those in the business world.
Melania’s agenda cut across youth engagement, proposing initiatives to involve young people in regional decision-making and entrepreneurship and advocating for the youth to be involved in all sectors of money-economy and investment.
Others are; to adress the issue of insecurity in Congo and South Sudan is another priority by making a collaborative efforts with regional bodies to restore peace in the said countries.
Melania’s understanding of regional dynamics is a real strength since she proposes enhanced dialogue mechanisms to prevent and resolve conflicts.
If elected, in the EALA parliament, Melania promises to represent Ugandan interests effectively in the EALA hence it will not be a dream but reality of Ugandan interest and an impactful representation. However, she is on standby as a young blood to focus on practical solutions for regional challenge positions her as a leader focused on action and practical solutions.
