Two Arrested Over Burglary at Alebtong RDC’s Office as Okiswa Pushes for Thorough Probe.

Alebtong–Police in Alebtong District have arrested two suspects in connection with the burglary and theft of a brand new computer set from the office of the Resident District Commissioner, Mr. Okiswa Geoffrey.
The incident occurred on the night of September 7, 2026, shocking district leadership.
According to RDC Okiswa, he immediately reported the matter to police, who swiftly arrested the night guard (Askari) who was on duty.
In a follow-up operation aided by a police sniffer dog, police arrested a second suspect believed to be linked to the theft.
Okiswa said he has informed key district authorities including the DISO, DPC, District Chairperson LC5 and CAO, as well as the Regional Police Commander and the Commissioner, RDC Secretariat – Northern Region.
He noted that he is yet to formally communicate additional information to the relevant authorities and the media as investigation continue.
The RDC has called for in-depth police investigations to ensure justice prevails, a move that has been lauded by district stakeholders as a demonstration of transparency and zero tolerance for crime even within government premises.
