PADER, UGANDA – April 4, 2026: Alfred Akena the Pader district LCV- elect is a prominent East Acholi / Ugandan politician and member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) who was elected as the LCV Chairperson for Pader District in January 2026, reclaiming the seat with a landslide victory. He previously served as the Pader District Chairperson and focused his 2026 campaign on environmental protection, youth engagement, and tackling food insecurity in the District.

Chairman Alfred Akena pledged to prioritize environmental conservation through tree planting, youth partnership for development, and addressing poor road infrastructure in Pader in adxution to promoting commercial Agriculture.
Hon. Akena is only waiting to be sworn in as the new District chairman of Pader in May, 2026 former Pader District.He has a background in student leadership and vast experience within the health sector.
He has often described himself as a “listener” and values community input to foster unity and deliver public services.

The LC V Chairperson–elect for Pader District, Alfred Akena has pledged to work closely with young people to promote environmental protection across the District and make commercial agriculture key as seen in the four he tres modal illustrated in Baralegi presidential farm in Northern Ugand.
Akena said his campaign focused on engaging youth in tree planting and conservation as part of efforts to tackle climate change and environmental degradation.

He urged residents of Pader to support his new friendly initiative of develppment grom bottom to top, noting that it aligns with global efforts under the United Nations framework to create a greener world by 2031.
Meanwhile, the chairperson NRM of Pader sub-county, told this publication that voters had chosen the right leader to make Pader District great again. He described Alfred Akena as a listener who values community input, citing his past leadership record .
