Kwania Deputy RDC Aturu Abraham Warns UPDF Applicants Against Fraudsters.

KWANIA, UGANDA: The Deputy Resident District Commissioner of Kwania, Mr. Abraham Aturu, has warned UPDF recruitment applicants against fraudsters who are allegedly calling shortlisted candidates and demanding money.
Speaking during a morning talk show on Atedero FM in Kwania District, hosted by Denise, Aturu said his office has received intelligence reports of people disguising as officers from UPDF Headquarters.
“Report to RDCs’ offices only”
“We have received intelligence information about fraudsters disguising as officers from headquarters calling shortlisted persons and promising them jobs,” Aturu said.
He advised all shortlisted applicants to only seek information from RDCs’ offices across the Lango Sub-region.
Aturu explained that step one of the recruitment has been completed and names of successful applicants are already displayed at RDCs’ offices.
“We are now waiting for step two, where the physical recruitment exercise will be conducted. As the Office of Resident Commissioners we are waiting for additional instructions from UPDF Headquarters on how to go about with the second phase,” he said.
The D/RDC also urged successful applicants to prepare physically and morally ahead of the next phase.
“Successful applicants should start regular exercise, stop drinking alcohol, stop engaging in sexual intercourse, and go for early medical check-up,” Aturu guided.
He further encouraged applicants to be vigilant and to report any suspicious calls or incidents to the relevant security departments.
