Maruzi North MP Benard Otim Urges Govt to Buy more Cancer Screening Vans.

KAMPALA – Maruzi North County MP, Hon. Bernard Otim, has called on Parliament and government to provide funding for the purchase of more cancer screening vans.
Speaking o the floor of Parliament on Wednesday, August 27, 2026, while reacting to the Speaker’s remarks, Hon. Otim Benard Odoc said the vans will help the Uganda Cancer Institute reach communities to conduct screening, education and awareness.
He underscored the importance of the screening tours in bridging the gap for rural communities who may not be able to access timely cancer screening and treatment.
