AN INSIGHT INTO THE VIRTUES OF GEN MUHOOZI KAINERUGABA, PLU CHAIRMAN
By Mathias Lutwama
In the chronicles of the founding fathers of the United States, none stands taller in the citadel of patriotic greatness than Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and George Washington.
Placing this in the Ugandan context, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, right from his gruelling training in the Egyptian military academy, has come to embody black heroism as the foundation of African dignity. This virtue is dedicated to officers and men, both in conventional and asymmetrical forces, who can never be bought with money to betray their motherland, Uganda.

Our contemporary admiration for Deng Xiaoping stems from his strategic architecture of state capitalism, well-aligned with foreign direct investment, without negating the fight against moral decay. In the same vein, Gen Kainerugaba is admired for his vigorous fight against the cancer of corruption.
It is estimated that Uganda loses Shs28 billion every 24 hours to theft of taxpayers’ money by civil servants. Ugandans are now hopeful that Gen Kainerugaba is systematically dismantling the cells used to steal public funds, hence the virtue of moral prudence. This virtue is dedicated to all young women and men of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) fraternity who are diligently fighting for the birth of a new, better Uganda.
When we celebrate the Asian Tigers — Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea — we reckon their combined Gross Domestic Product of $4 trillion surpasses that of the entire African continent, estimated at $3.5 trillion. It is no miracle that the Asian tycoons leverage their domestic investors and bankroll them to invest wisely, even abroad.
Majority of Ugandans truly believe that Gen Kainerugaba has the passion to build and functionally support indigenous Ugandan investors once he becomes President in 2031. By exercising the virtue of business philanthropy, Gen Kainerugaba has become a market brand in the entire Great Lakes region.
This self-evident virtue is dedicated to both Ugandan and African tycoons with a niche in real estate, stock market brokerage and bonds, mindful of their steadfast solidarity for the Muhoozi Presidency 2031.
