Shs430b Koboko Road Works Resume After Minister’s Directive.

Koboko–The over Shs430 billion road construction project in Koboko, which started in July 2024 and is expected to be completed by July next year, has resumed with full momentum.
After the Minister’s directive on Friday, the contractor deployed heavy equipment on the Koboko side and serious work began by Saturday morning.
The development has excited leaders and residents, who have thanked the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Koboko, Mr Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, for raising the matter to the Minister.
The residents have since nicknamed the RDC “General Haraka” for making things move immediately.
Similarly, the Koboko District Chairperson, Mr Mambu Asiraf, named Hashaka as the “Balamu of Koboko” in recognition of his fight against corruption and hard work in service delivery.
Last week, during the commissioning of the new digitalised floor-mounted X-ray machine at Koboko Hospital, the Minister of State for Health in charge of Primary Health Care, Hon. Dr Ayume Charles, described RDC Hashaka as a “14 millimetre gun” for his no-nonsense approach.
