Prominent Lango Bishop Seeks Direct Meeting with President Museveni to Share Divine Vision.
By Okidi Patrick
LANGO, UGANDA—4 December 2026: In a move that has sparked significant public interest, Reverend Richard Ojede, a prominent bishop from the Lango region and a vocal citizen advocate, has requested a face-to-face meeting with President Yoweri Museveni to disclose a vision he believes holds critical messages about Uganda’s future.

Bishop Ojede, 78, revealed that he has submitted two formal requests to the State House but has yet to receive a response. Speaking at a press briefing held at the Binvia Hotel in Lira City, he emphasized that his vision—and the revelations he witnessed—necessitate direct dialogue with the president.

Divine Guidance and Political Endorsement
“God has shown me something extraordinary about President Museveni. I have seen that he is the divinely chosen leader to guide Uganda in 2026,” Bishop Ojede declared during the briefing. He praised Museveni’s leadership, citing his role in securing religious freedom and the blessings he believes the president has personally received from the divine.

The bishop urged Ugandans to support Museveni in the upcoming election, calling him “the greatest hero Uganda has ever known.” He reiterated that Museveni’s continued leadership is a “sure path for national progress.”
Personal Plea for Support
In a separate appeal, Bishop Richard Ojede requested financial assistance for his son, Yoweri Innocent Okello, who is currently in school. “President Museveni is not just a leader to me but a symbol of hope. I have named my son after him to honor our bond,” the bishop explained, noting his son’s birthdate, 26 December 2009. “I humbly ask the president to sponsor his education.”

Yoweri Innocent Okello, baptized in reverence for the president, is described by Ojede as a “child of this vision,” symbolizing faith in Museveni’s divine mandate.
