President Yoweri Museveni Set to Campaign in Kole District.

Kole, Uganda —January 8th, 2026: The National Resistance Movement (NRM) presidential candidate, H.E. General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, is anticipated to arrive in Kole District to campaign in Aculbanya Secondary school playgrounds.
The campaign rally has drawn a robust delegation of key NRM political figures. Among those present are Hon. Sam Engola, Senior Presidential Advisor in charge of the Lango zone; Eng.Oteng Moses, GCW and National Vice chairperson Northern region Hon.Denis Hamson Obua , Ambassador Dickson Ogwang Okul, Kole North Member of Parliament Opio Acuti; Hon. Okot Boniface, NRM flag bearer Kole South Constituency, Kole RDC Jillian Akulu Omara, NRM chairperson Lillian Anyati and Awongo Patrick Ogwal among others. Other dignitaries present already are; Lango ONC coordinator Prossy Langol, and Andrew Awany, has also joined the dignitaries assembled ready to welcome H.E. the president any time from now.
The President, will campaign in two different locations of Kole and Lira city today where he is expected to deliver NRM’s 2026 manifesto.
Kole District, is located in Lango sub-region and has historically been a stronghold of president Museveni and his campaign trail is seen as a strategic move to consolidate support ahead of the 15th, January 2026 polls.
