Lira City NRM Vice Chairperson Youth League Pamela Angwec Rallies Youth to Turn up massively for President’s Victory celebration.

LIRA CITY: The Vice Chairperson of the Lira City Youth League, Hon. Pamella Angwech Engola, has launched a massive mobilization drive, urging the youth of the Lango sub-region to turn up in record numbers to welcome President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni this Saturday, April 18, 2026.
The President is expected at the Lango College Playground for a grand “Victory Celebration” following his success in the 2026 general elections.
Speaking during press briefing at St.Lira Hotel, Hon. Angwech emphasized the need for the youth to align with the NRM government to secure their future and benefit from ongoing development programs.
“Our youth must be part of this success. We are coming together to celebrate the peace and stability that the NRM has brought to Northern Uganda,” Angwech stated.
She also lauded the joint efforts of regional leaders, including Erute South MP-elect Hon. Sam Engola, Lira City RCC Lawrence Egole, Health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero, and the Director General of the External Security Organisation (ESO), Joseph Ocwet, for their roles in coordinating the high-profile visit.
The celebration is expected to feature legendary performances and top artists from Lango, serving as a platform to consolidate the NRM’s recent electoral gains in the region.
