Benard Masanga Anyeko stated that “We Are Ready to Welcome H.E. Gen.Yoweri Kaguta Museveni with a success story of over 30m UGX in our account of Emyooga SACCO.”
The Secretary of the Uganda Taxi Operators and Drivers Association (UTODA), Mr. Benard Anyeko Masanga, has called on all drivers within Lango sub-region to come out and welcome President Yoweri Museveni at Lango College on Saturday 18, April 2026.
Masanga, who also leads the Lira City Emyooga Taxi SACCO, says the transport community is excited about the President’s visit this Saturday and are preparing to welcome him in a big way.
He praised the President for developing Lango, mentioning the new Lira-Kamdini road and the construction of the Akii-Bua Stadium among others. He also noted that government programs like Emyooga and the Parish Development Model (PDM) have changed lives.
As a sign of success, Masanga revealed that his Taxi SACCO has managed to save over Shs 26 million ahead of the President’s visit.
“We are very ready to welcome our President,” Masanga said. “He has done a lot for us, from better roads to helping us save money through Emyooga. We invite all transporters to join us at Lango College.”
The taxi operators plan to arrive early to show their support for the NRM government and celebrate the big victory in the Lango sub-region.
