LIRA CITY, UGANDA: April 17, 2026: The NRM Chairman for Lira City West Division, Mr. Tonny Olipa, has made a passionate call to the people of Lango Sub-region to turn up in massive numbers for President Yoweri Museveni’s victory celebration tomorrow, Saturday, April 18, 2026.
The event, scheduled to take place at the Lango College playground, is a “Thanksgiving and Victory Celebration” following the President’s successful re-election in January 2026 with over 80 percent..
Mr. Olipa, a staunch NRM mobilizer, praised the President’s leadership, noting that Uganda has achieved over 90% success across all sectors due to Museveni’s strong ideology and patriotism. He further suggested that the President’s track record is so impressive that he should be supported to lead Uganda even beyond 2031.
“President Museveni has transformed this country. His vision and love for Uganda are why we are celebrating today. I urge everyone to remain focused and loyal to the core values of the NRM as we look forward to a brighter future,” Olipa stated.
He commended Lira city Woman MP, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero, for her contribution to the health sector and otger tangible development in the city.
The victory celebration at Lango College according to Tonny is expected to be a historic gathering, with security already tightened to ensure total peace.
Mr. Olipa encouraged all NRM supporters and members of the public within Lango sub-region to arrive early enough at the venue to witness the “wonderful occasion.”
“Tomorrow is a day to show our gratitude and celebrate the peace and progress we enjoy today,” Olipa added.
