OMORO/AGAGO – The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has registered a major political gain in Acholi sub-region after two influential legislators were unveiled as new members.
Agago West County Member of Parliament, Hon. Anywar Ricky Richard and the Chairperson of Acholi Parliamentary Group (APG), Hon. Catherine Lamwaka, have officially joined PLU headed by the CDF Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
The two leaders feature in the latest list of Patriotic Officers (PO) released by the PLU Secretariat. Hon. Lamwaka Catherine, who is also the Omoro District Woman MP, has been assigned PO/203, while Hon. Anywar Ricky Richard the MP representing Agago West County has been assigned PO/211.

Hon. Lamwaka was in July elected as the new APG chairperson, replacing Kilak North MP, Hon. Anthony Akol. She is deputised by Agago County MP, Hon. Otto Edward Makmot.
Hon. Anywar Ricky, is serving his second term as MP for Agago West County.
Their admission comes at a time when PLU Chairman Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has appointed Hon. Fadil Twalla (PO/012) as the new General Secretary of PLU, replacing Hon. Daudi Kabanda who has served for three years.
According to sources at the Secretariat, the new batch of the PLU members had senior figures such as Gen. Taban Amin (PO/036) and Rtd Gen. Emmanuel Rwashande (PO/038), to now over PO/224.
The two Acholi leaders were assigned PO/211 and PO/203 respectively in latest batch of Patriotic Officers as PLU continue to appoint more new members.
