OBONGI — Leaders and stakeholders in Obongi District have been tasked to aggressively implement National Resistance Movement (NRM) manifesto commitments under a strict “Kisanja of No Sleep and No Corruption” framework spanning the 2026–2031 political term.
The directive was delivered by the Assistant Resident District Commissioner (ARDC) Komakech Robert Obina during a high-level district evaluation meeting. Komakech represented the Obongi Resident District Commissioner, Mr. Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, at the event organized by the MP Emeritus for Obongi County, Hon. Dr. Bhoka Didi George.

The evaluation meeting brought together various district stakeholders to comprehensively review political and developmental achievements, outline baseline challenges encountered over the past five years, and chart a progressive way forward for the border district.
Unity is Essential for Progress:

While delivering the closing remarks on behalf of RDC Hashaka, ARDC Komakech Obina stressed that socio-economic transformation hinges entirely on the cohesion of the political and technical leadership. He underscored that teamwork, forgiveness, and collective responsibility must anchor the district’s moving development agenda.

“We must support the monitoring and robust implementation of NRM manifesto commitments,” Komakech noted. “This ensures that all ongoing government programs directly and effectively benefit the grassroots populations they were designed to lift.”
With the new 2026–2031 administrative governance cycle underway, the ARDC reminded public servants and community leaders that service delivery demands absolute integrity. He noted that the public will tolerate neither laxity nor embezzlement.
ARDC Komakech urged leaders to remain visibly committed, highly vigilant, and uniformly accountable when executing their public duties to guarantee the complete transformation of Obongi District.
