Aboke, Uganda– June 20, 2026: Aboke sub-County LC3 Chairperson Hon. Okello Opio Alex has pledged to donate his entire 2026-2031 salary to voters to boost household incomes.
In an interview with journalists from Aboke sub-County on Thursday 18th June ,2026, Hon. Opio said he will remain with nothing from his salary for the entire term while in office but he will donate it for buying hand hoes so as to help develop individuals in Aboke productively.
Hoes for 25 people per village:
Opio said he has also resolved with all LC1 chairpersons of Aboke Sub-County to buy hand hoes for residents using his personal salary.
“We agreed with LC1s that we use my salary payment of Shs400,000 to buy hoes for my people in Aboke Sub-County,” he said.
He added that 25 people per village will soon benefit from the distribution.
Okello Opio to buy hoes for all the households.
As a contractor with exposure access to bank loans, Hon. Opio said he has already secured a large number of hoes wortg over 20 million shillings to boost agricultural productivity in Aboke Sub-County.
He added that this is a direct initiative to fight poverty during his tenurw in office.
