Kyankwanzi, Uganda– June 19, 2026: The Minister of State for Disability Affairs Hon. Acan Joyce Okeny says Persons with Disabilities will benefit more from government programmes after the ongoing NALI training.
Speaking during a lunch break on phone to our reporter, on Day 5 of the training at NALI, Kyankwanzi, Acan said the course has a big impact on service delivery.

She was sharing light moments with State Minister for Labour and Culture Hon. Simon Mulongo and fellow appointed ministers at Kyankwanzi.
Hon. Acan said the training tackles wealth creation, Parish Development Model,issues pertaining fight against corruption,EMYOOGA, service delivery, the NRM agenda and socio-economic transformation , have been key in sessison of lectures at NALI.

“PWDs are going to benefit more since all these issues are covered and they are always also allocated some slots in all government programs ,” she told our reporter.
She urged all PWDs to unite and support government programmes in all departments as we protect the gain.
Acan pledged to follow up all government programmes to ensure PWDs also benefit.
