Health is wealth, Alebtong RDC Okiswa tells residents during cleaning exercise.

Alebtong–The Alebtong Resident District Commissioner, Mr Okiswa, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, delivered the National Cleaning Day message in Abako Trading Centre.
The message was: Health = Wealth and Credibility = Consistency (3rd Party Endorsement).
Hundreds of people turned up to participate in the three-hour activity that started at 7:00am and ended at 10:00am.
Addressing participants before the exercise, RDC Okiswa urged them to ensure high levels of cleanliness in their homesteads, villages and trading centres.
He said this will boost their health and enable them to invest Parish Development Model (PDM) and other seed capital for socio-economic transformation and development.
“We reminded the residents that they must work consistently and honestly in order to maintain the credibility of the programme,” he said.
He noted that the cleaning exercise will be conducted consistently every last Saturday of the month.
“Next month we shall work with the people of Apala Sub-county. There is no more sleep, corruption and laziness,” Okiswa added.
