RDC Okiswa Godfrey Chairs Alebtong Coordination Meeting Ahead of Measles -Rubella Vaccination Campaign.

Alebtong–Uganda: Alebtong District Coordination Committee has held a meeting at Alebtong to plan and prepare for the Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign that starts on 1st to 5th October.
According to Alebtong Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Okiswa Godfrey, who chaired the meeting, the campaign targets children aged 9 months to below 5 years.
The plan includes training of vaccinators, health workers and mobilizers to ensure effective implementation.
Chairing the meeting, RDC Okiswa urged stakeholders to ensure effective Communication, Coordination and Cooperation for an effective and efficient campaign.
He confirmed that the vaccines have already been delivered to the district cold chain stores and are ready for rollout.
“Let’s kick measles out of the district,” RDC Okiswa said.
The district leadership is now calling upon parents, VHTs, LCs and religious leaders to mobilize all eligible children.
