NRM sub-county officials flagged off for village baraza in Kapchorwa.

KAPCHORWA–Sub-county officials in Kapchorwa District have been flagged off to roll out National Resistance Movement, NRM, village baraza meetings across the district.
The exercise, set to begin countrywide, was launched by Mr. Olwo, an Accountant at the NRM Secretariat on Plot 13 Kyadondo Road under the NRM Electoral Commission, who visited Kapchorwa to supervise the initial rollout. The event was also attended by the District NRM Chairperson and other local party leaders.
Resident District Commissioner( RDC) Mr. Stanley Bayole, who was the guest speaker, urged residents to remain vigilant on security and report any suspicious persons to police.
Mr. Bayole also called on voters to elect committed LC1 chairpersons who will monitor government programs such as Universal Primary Education, UPE, and Universal Secondary Education, USE.
“Our target as a nation is to achieve an illiteracy-free Uganda in the next ten years, where every citizen can read and write,” he said.
“Although UPE was introduced over 25 years ago, some community members still lack basic literacy skills largely because we elected leaders who fail to monitor and implement these vital government programs.”
The RDC further appealed to parents and guardians to keep children in school and ensure they complete routine medical immunizations so they grow up healthy and educated.
The barazas are part of NRM’s mobilization drive ahead of party activities at the village level.
