Kwania Deputy RDC Aturu Abraham Launched Mobilization for LCI, Women League Elections

KWANIA, UGANDA–The Office of the Resident District Commissioner, (RDC), in Kwania District has started standard popular mobilization for LCI and Women League elections across the district.
The exercise was launch0ed on Tuesday, 22nd July 2026 by the Deputy RDC, Mr. Aturu Abraham, together with DISO and Kwania DPC.
Several residents turned up in Nambyeco, Chawente and Atongtidi Sub-counties to receive the President’s message delivered by the team headed by Deputy RDC Aturu Abraham.
In Nambyeco, residents resolved to elect leaders aligned to the NRM/ruling government to ensure effective service delivery.
In Chawente, many of the residents said they are “tired of opposition lies” and expressed satisfaction that their bad roads are now under construction.
“Elect pro-government leaders” – Deputy RDC Aturu told Kwania residents.
Mr. Aturu pledged to continue the mobilization until the end of the exercise and promised adequate security during the campaign period.
The LCI and Women League elections are part of the NRM party structure elections ahead of the 2026 general elections.
