KWANIA , Uganda -The Deputy Resident District Commissioner (DRDC) of Kwania, Mr. Abraham Aturu Darabim, has cautioned the Kwania Veterans Association and Sacco to register all retired men and women from active service for proper profiling and data-based management of ex-soldiers in the district.
Speaking during a meeting with veterans in Aduku Town Council on Saturday, Mr. Aturu said government needs accurate data to plan for former service personnel.

He further warned those who deserted from the UPDF, UPF and Uganda Prisons Service to report back to their command centres for administrative review and further deployment.
“Otherwise, if found roaming around, we shall order for their arrest,” he warned.
Mr. Aturu urged residents of Kwania to remain vigilant and report any security threats to the office of the RDC or police.
He thanked the veterans for leading the Saturday cleaning exercise in Aduku Town Council.
The District Police Commander, Mr. Kadogo, asked veterans to work closely with OCs of police outposts in the sub-counties to prevent criminality and maintain law and order as they did while in active service.
Mr. Aturu also encouraged veterans to invest in their Saccos and benefit from presidential initiatives and scholarships.
