Thousands throng Yumbe as minister Beatrice Akello Akori honours Odria at thanksgiving.

YUMBE — The State Minister for Northern Uganda,Hon Beatrice Akello Akori, joined thousands of people in Yumbe District for a thanksgiving ceremony for Aringa South MP, Yorke Alioni Odria.
The ceremony held at Dragini Seed Secondary School in Aringa South celebrated Odria who is also the State Minister for ICT and National Guidance and MP-elect for the 2026-2031 term.
The event attracted leaders, community members and well-wishers in a show of unity and gratitude.
“As Minister for Northern Uganda, I continue to engage with communities beyond my constituency because cooperation and shared responsibility are key to advancing Uganda’s development agenda,” she said.
Akello, who is also the Agago District Woman MP, said her presence underscores solidarity among leaders and the need to foster national unity and inclusive development.
The gathering provided an opportunity for the people of Aringa South to celebrate leadership and renew commitment to community transformation.
