APAC — The Member of Parliament for Maruzi North, Hon. Bernard Otim Odoch, has encouraged candidates in Maruzi North, Apac District, to approach their Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations with confidence, discipline and a calm mindset.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Sunday afternoon, ahead of the exams that start on October 12, 2026, Hon. Otim urged candidates to equip themselves with knowledge and approach each paper systematically.
“Passion and wisdom are powerful weapons that can help you accomplish your goals. Seek your passions and be wise enough to use your success for the greater good,” Hon. Otim said.
He cautioned candidates and teachers against examination malpractice, warning that cheating could jeopardize their future and undermine the integrity of the examinations.
The MP also commended teachers in Apac for their efforts in preparing the learners, and called on parents and community leaders to support candidates by creating a conducive environment that promotes honesty and diligence.
Candidates have been briefed on examination rules, codes of conduct and good practices, including reading instructions carefully, understanding questions and maintaining good handwriting.
MP Bernard Otim is among popular and top performing MPs both in their constituency and on the floor of parliament during plenary sessions.
