Julia Muhumuza Secures Real Support for National Female Youth MP Bid, Vows “No Youth Left Behind” Ahead of 2026 General Elections
KAMPALA, UGANDA – November 8, 2025 – Hon. Julia Muhumuza, a dynamic candidate for National Female Youth MP, is reportedly securing overwhelming support, of over 75% backing ahead of the 2026-2031 electoral cycle. Muhumuza is campaigning on a powerful platform of ensuring “no youth is left behind,” urging young Ugandans to navigate their journey with vision and unity.
In an exclusive interview with the media on Saturday, Muhumuza articulated a clear vision for the nation’s youth. “As young people, our struggle is not because we lack potential, but because we often chase shadows instead of the real source of our pain,” she stated. “If ambition were a passport, Uganda’s youth would be traveling first class to the future. We have got dreams brighter than Kampala’s lights and ideas taller than the Kololo airstrip. But without a map, even the fastest car can get lost.”

Hon. Muhumuza emphasized her commitment to serving as a solution to the challenges faced by young people, inspiring them with the promise that no youth would be marginalized. “We shout for help, yet the true rescue lies in understanding what truly holds us back,” she commented, reassuring the youth that she has emerged to address their problems as the National Female Youth MP.

Highlighting the critical role of youth in regional development, Muhumuza added, “Young people make up the majority in Uganda and across East Africa. We stand to benefit the most from regional integration — yet we continue to be sidelined in shaping it. It’s time for our voices to be included, not just acknowledged.” She pledged to be a representative who “listens, understands, and delivers with honesty.”
Julia Muhumuza recently showcased her leadership capabilities as a key speaker at the Guild Presidents Leadership Academy Breakfast Meeting, where she shared platforms with prominent regional policy voices.

Her candidacy has already resonated strongly with young Ugandans. A youth identified only as Jane of Lira City praised Muhumuza, describing her as “an intelligent, vibrant, and knowledgeable leader who deserves to be elected in the 2026 general election to represent the youth and even to take the voice of Generation Z to the 12th parliamentof Uganda.”
