Dr. Opio Acuti Sets Consultation Standard: Kole North MP Holds 123 Community Engagements to Drive Development.

KOLE NORTH, UGANDA – November 16, 2025: The incumbent Member of Parliament for Kole North Constituency, Hon. Dr. Samuel Opio Acuti, has demonstrated an unprecedented commitment to grassroots governance, completing 123 intensive community engagements aimed at updating residents on infrastructural progress and systematically gathering feedback during his tenure in the 11th Parliament.

Dr. Opio Acuti, who has served as the area MP, confirmed his robust consultation strategy in an exclusive interview with the media on Saturday from Aboke Town Council. He stated that frequent engagement was a deliberate policy to ensure community concerns were addressed swiftly and transparently.
“As I serve in the 11th Parliament, it has been my consistent habit to consult the community and electorates by engaging them directly to receive their concerns and provide timely feedback on the work being done,” MP Acuti explained.
The widespread consultation spanned the entire constituency, ensuring no area was left out of the feedback loop. Detailed records show that the MP focused heavily on the most densely populated areas:

A total of 38 engagements were conducted across Aboke Town Council and Aboke Sub-county.
34 engagements were held in Okwerodot Sub-county.
The highest number, 51 engagements, took place across Alito Sub-county and Alito Town Council.

The MP’s efforts have garnered massive support from the local population, who commended his availability and commitment to local development.
Akello Paska, a 47-year-old community member residing in Okwerodot Sub-county, narrated how residents have consistently benefitted from the numerous “fruitful meetings” called by Hon. Opio Acuti. Expressing the community’s high satisfaction, she stated that Dr. Opio Acuti should continue to lead Kole North for the next ten years.
Similarly, Opio Francis of Aboke Town Council praised the MP for his inclusive leadership style. “Dr. Samuel Opio Acuti is a real leader who doesn’t segregate,” Opio Francis noted, adding that the MP is credited with over 100 achievements across Kole and the wider Lango sub-region.
Further cementing the positive reception, a 24-year-old resident of Alito Sub-county praised and congratulated MP Acuti for consistently lobbying for the public and always seeking community views before implementing projects.
According to residents who spoke to a TAYARI NEWS UGANDA reporter, the incumbent MP is gaining massive political support across Okwerodot, Alito, and Aboke sub-counties and town councils. Locals assured the reporter that they are confident in his continued success, citing the “billions of shillings” injected by Opio Acuti into several transformative projects within Kole North County.
