Minister of Health Dr.Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero Rallies Lira City for Peaceful Easter Celebration.
LIRA CITY — The Minister of Health and Woman Member of Parliament for Lira City, Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero, has extended a message of hope and renewal to the people of Lira as they join the rest of the world to celebrate Easter.
In her festive address delivered on Saturday, April 4, 2026, Dr. Aceng called upon residents to embrace the spirit of the resurrection, which she noted stands as a symbol of new life and community strength.
“I wish the wonderful people of Lira City a joyful and blessed Easter Day. May this celebration be filled with hope, love, and renewal,” the Minister stated.
A Call for Unity
Dr. Aceng emphasized that the Easter season should be a time for the community to consolidate the gains made in unity and faith. She urged believers to use the holiday to reflect on their shared values and to support one another in the spirit of Christian charity.
“May this season strengthen our faith and unity as a community,” she added.
