Kwania Deputy RDC Abraham Aturu Calls for Promotion of Local Content as Aduku HCIV Modern Theater Constructio is Launched.

KWANIA , UGANDA – April 9, 2026: Abraham Aturu, Kwania deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) has urged Kojex Construction Company Limited, the contractor undertaking the construction of a modern theater at Aduku HCIV to consider the local contents while executing the construction works of a modern theater at Aduku HCIV.

Kojex Construction Company Limited is currently undertaking the construction works of a modern Theater at Aduku HCIV in Kwania District valued at Uganda Shillings 700 million being founded by Uganda Health Activity (UHA), a project funded by the American Government.
The project that will cost approximately Uganda Shillings 1.2 Uganda billion will be fully equipped with modern equipment worth 100,000 US Dollar and will run for six months.
The development comes after the facility was condemned by the Ministry of Health in 2023, putting the lives of patients at risk.
Geoffrey Alex Ogwal Adyebo, Kwania District LCV Chairman warned the contractor against shoddy work.
“Now that I am handing over the project in your hands, make sure your work is substantial for the benefit of our society to improve on service delivery,”he said, while handing over the project site to Kojex Construction Company Limited on Thursday.
Abraham Aturu, Kwania Deputy Resident District Commissioner hailed USA government for the support through Uganda Health Activity. (UHA).
Aturu applauded USA government for considering Kwania District, emphasising strongly on the local content.
“Consider Presidential directive on eradication of poverty and wealth creation as a key factor in improving the economic capacity of the Wanayinci so that we can achieve the middle income status and transform the country” he said, adding that government wants the local contents to be considered to alleviate poverty.
Broke contractors warned
He asked the broke contractors to leave space for serious contractors who could do substantial work for the population.
“Some unserious contractors bid the project with the intention of maximizing profits only, yet they don’t have the capability and the capacity of doing the actual work. Please, leave space for others,”he warned citing Amorigoga Primary school Japanese project which is taking now shape and the UPD Engineering Brigade who have done a commendable job for Nambieso HCIV and Aduku HCIV Mortuary.
Additionally, RDC Aturu commended the government of Japan for funding classroom construction for Amorigoga Primary School in Abongomola Sub -County worth UGX Shs320m, hailing the school head teacher Joel Ayini and encouraged all the district leaders to be lobbyists to attract development at the district.
