The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Obongi, Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, has added his voice to the chorus of leaders congratulating President Yoweri Museveni ahead of his official inauguration at Kololo Independence Grounds.
In a statement released today, the veteran commissioner described the President’s upcoming swearing-in as a “triumph for stability and grassroots socio-economic transformation.” Hashaka, known for his hands-on approach to monitoring government projects, noted that the President’s victory is a clear mandate from Ugandans to continue the journey of securing the country’s future.
“On behalf of the people of Obongi and the office of the RDC, I congratulate H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. This inauguration is not just a ceremony; it is a renewal of the social contract between a visionary leader and his people,” Hashaka stated.
The RDC further commended the President for his unwavering commitment to the Parish Development Model (PDM) and other wealth-creation initiatives, which he says have begun to pull many households out of poverty to the money-economy.
Hashaka’s congratulatory message comes at a time when he is being tipped by political analysts as a potential candidate for a more central role in the next government. His relentless crusade against the mismanagement of public funds and his ability to mobilize the masses have made him a standout figure within the RDC secretariat.
As the country prepares for the public holiday on Tuesday, May 12, Hashaka urged Ugandans to remain united and support the President’s agenda for a “transformed society through wealth creation.”
The swearing-in ceremony is expected to be attended by several African Heads of State and foreign dignitaries, marking the beginning of another five-year term.
