As Uganda enters a new political term of 2026-2031, Alebtong Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Okiswa Geoffrey has extended a warm congratulatory message to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni following his inauguration for the 2026–2031 term.
In a statement released shortly after the ceremony at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Okiswa hailed the President’s victory as a clear mandate from Ugandans to continue the journey of socio-economic transformation.

“On behalf of the people of Alebtong and on my own behalf, I congratulate His Excellency upon his swearing-in. This milestone is a testament to the trust Ugandans place in your commitment to peace, stability, and national development,” the RDC stated.
Okiswa, who has been a key driver of government programs in the Lango sub-region, noted that the new term provides a “golden opportunity” to deepen the impact of wealth creation initiatives. He highlighted the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga as critical pillars for the 2026–2031 agenda. [1]
