KOLE, UGANDA— In a powerful display of political maturity and regional reconciliation, Kole North Member of Parliament, Hon. Dr. Samuel Opio Acuti, has vowed to form a unified working alliance with the newly elected Kole District LCV Chairperson, Hon. Moses Oteng, to rapidly fast-track service delivery for the area.
The strategic olive branch was extended on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, during a high-profile thanksgiving ceremony organized for Chairman Oteng at Apii Oguru. The massive village gathering brought together former political rivals, traditional leaders, and hundreds of enthusiastic residents eager to witness the launch of the district’s 2026–2031 legislative term.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Samuel Opio Acuti expressed deep gratitude to God for steering both the political leadership and the citizens of Kole peacefully through the high-stakes 2026 general election cycle.
Turning directly to the newly elected district boss, the highly regarded medical professional turned legislator used a powerful agricultural metaphor to caution Oteng against the classic political trap of abandoning the grassroots voters who elevated him to power.
“Voters are exactly like soil,” Dr. Opio Acuti noted to thunderous applause from the crowd. “No matter how structurally perfect a seed is, it can never germinate or bear fruit unless you willingly plant it deep within the ground and consistently care for it. If you truly want your administration to succeed, you must stay permanently close to the ordinary people and work alongside them.”
The Kole North lawmaker promised to completely eliminate administrative friction between the parliamentary office and the district local government, ensuring a seamless approach to lobbying for state funds.
“This time around, there will be absolutely no time to sleep. Our people expect immediate results, and we are only going to focus on aggressive, non-stop work,” the MP declared.
Organizers and local elders present at the Apii Oguru function highly commended Dr. Opio Acuti for spearheading the unity drive. They noted that his development-first approach is exactly what Kole requires to effectively roll out the 2026–2031 National Agenda, improve the local road networks, and elevate the performance of public health centers in the sub-region.
