KAMPALA — As our nation transitions into a fresh executive chapter under the 12th Parliament, I extend my warmest, most patriotic congratulations to all the sons and daughters from the Lango sub-region who have been entrusted with high-profile responsibilities in President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s newly unveiled Cabinet.

We have absolute faith in your collective capacity, professional competence, seasoned experience, and deep sense of patriotism to serve our people diligently and contribute meaningfully to the holistic development of Uganda.
Leadership is About Service, Not Offices:
We must remind our newly appointed leaders that true leadership is never merely about occupying prestigious offices or enjoying the privileges of state power. Instead, it is about strategically using those offices to engineer practical solutions, unite our communities, expand economic opportunities, and aggressively strengthen grassroots service delivery to the ordinary wananchi.
I therefore pray that you remain strictly focused, disciplined, humble, and unshakeably committed to the national interest as you begin to execute your respective ministerial mandates.
We also highly applaud His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his continuous, tactical reorganization of government structures. This reshuffle is a clear pursuit of administrative efficiency, governance continuity, and a strategic national direction.
Special Recognitions for Strategic Elevations:
In a distinct way, I want to highlight and congratulate our regional stalwarts who have been handed massive responsibilities to steer key sectors of our economy:
- Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero: Appointed as the new Minister of Information, Communications Technology (ICT) and National Guidance.
- Hon. Sam Engola: Appointed to full cabinet status as the Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness, and Refugees.
- Hon. Sandra Santa Alum: Deployed as the Minister of State for Economic Monitoring in the Office of the President.
- Hon. Dr. Mercy Faith Lakisa: Appointed as the Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs.
May you heavily exploit these unique executive opportunities to deepen rural service delivery, catalyze local job creation, spark value-addition industrialization, and accelerate technological advancement for our population.
An Inspiration to the Next Generation
The Lango sub-region has a rich history of producing exceptionally capable leaders defined by intellectual strength, immense resilience, and an enduring commitment to national service. This latest deployment should serve as a powerful beacon of inspiration for our young people.
Let this moment motivate the youth of Lango and Uganda at large to systematically prepare themselves for future national service through rigorous education, personal discipline, smart hard work, continuous innovation, and love for their country.
May the Almighty God grant you all divine guidance, wisdom, and good health as you step forward to serve our motherland.
For God and My Country.
