KAMPALA – His Royal Highness, Eng. Dr.Moses Michael Odongo Okune, the “Won Nyaci me Lango“, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, held a high-profile consultative meeting with fellow cultural leaders at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala to discuss regional unity and socio-economic transformation.
The exclusive high-level engagement brought together prominent traditional leaders, including His Royal Highness Butamanya Mwigezi, the Sabaruli of Buruli, and His Royal Highness Sir Mike Mudoma, the Umukhuka of Bugisu. The cultural heads brainstormed mechanisms to leverage traditional institutions to drive community development and support government wealth creation programs.

The leaders reaffirmed that cultural institutions remain pivotal partners to the government in driving mindset change and grassroots economic progress as far as wealth creagion is concerned.
The high-profile discussions focused strictly on strengthening cultural diplomacy, developing heritage, and establishing collaborative economic frameworks to uplift rural communities across the Lango, Buruli, and Bugisu sub-regions.
