OBONGI – The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Obongi District, Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, has overseen the distribution of 60,000 coffee seedlings to 133 selected farmers to boost commercial agriculture in the sub-region.

Flanked by the Assistant Resident District Commissioner (ARDC), Komakech Robert Obina, Hashaka issued a stern directive to agricultural extension workers to monitor the inputs closely and prevent agricultural wastage. The oversight team at the distribution exercise included the District Agriculture Officer, the District Vice Chairman, and the coordinator for Operation Wealth Creation (OWC). The mass input distribution drive, aimed at shifting local farming households into the commercial cash-crop economy, was conducted alongside the Assistant Resident District Commissioner, Komakech Robert Obina.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, RDC Hashaka issued a tough directive to sub-county agricultural extension workers, instructing them to perform strict field monitoring to ensure no distributed seedlings go to waste.
