KUMI – The Deputy Resident District Commissioner (DRDC) for Kumi, James Kyomya, has highly commended President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for retaining Honourable Milly Babirye Babalanda as the Minister for the Presidency, attributing her reappointment to her loyalty, teamwork, and aggressive stance against corruption.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with the media on Friday morning, May 29, 2026, Deputy RDC Kyomya described the political development as a true blessing for all Ugandans. He expressed deep gratitude to the Commander-in-Chief for reinforcing the nation’s steady progress and protecting tge gains.
He warmly welcomed Minister Milly Babirye Babalanda’s return to the strategic portfolio, emphasizing that she has played an instrumental role in mobilizing RDCs and Resident City Commissioners (RCCs) to aggressively monitor the implementation of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) manifesto and drive socio-economic transformation across communities.

“She is a selfless leader of our generation,” Kyomya stated. “Honourable Babalanda has streamlined the operations of RDCs nationwide. She is an impactful leader whose singular focus is to see the lives of ordinary Ugandans change for the better. This is why every corner of this country should celebrate her reappointment.”
The Deputy RDC further lauded President Yoweri Museveni for appointing an influx of energetic, youthful leaders to the newly unveiled cabinet. He noted that the strategic composition directly matches the President’s vision for the current political term.
“Like His Excellency the President remarked, this is indeed ‘Kisanja No Sleep’,” Kyomya added. “The majority of the new cabinet members are youthful, vibrant, and energetic. They possess the drive required to support the Head of State in aggressively serving the nation by implementing wealth creation agenda and NRM manifesto.”
