Kwania Deputy RDC Aturu starts follow-up and monitoring of 488 Cattle Restocking Beneficiaries.

KWANIA – Kwania Deputy Resident District Commissioner (DRDC), Mr Aturu Abraham, has been praised for his firm stance on accountability after launching a strict follow-up on beneficiaries of President Museveni’s restocking cash support of some sellected households.
Speaking on Ateker FM, in Kwania!District, Aturu thanked the President of the Republic of Uganda for fulfilling his pledge to the people of Acholi, Lango and Teso sub-regions.
He revealed that Shs5 million each has already been paid to 488 beneficiaries in Kwania District.
According to Aturu, the payment is a clear demonstration that President Museveni honours his promises to the ordinary people in Lango and neighbouring sub-regions.
In a move aimed at ensuring value for money, the Deputy RDC said his office has commenced vigorous monitoring and follow-up of all the 488 beneficiaries to ascertain whether the funds are being used in accordance with guidelines issued by the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM).
Aturu emphasised that government money must be put to proper use to improve household incomes and not be wasted.
“The President has delivered. It is now our duty as leaders on the ground to ensure his money serves the intended purpose,” he said.
