Amuria District leaders yesterday commissioned two new classroom blocks at Torongole Primary School and Abota Primary School, plus a VIP latrine at Achia Primary School.
The projects are aimed at improving the learning environment and sanitation for pupils in the beneficiary schools.

The commissioning was presided over by Amuria Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Eseru Paul. Also in attendance were the Assistant RDC, LCV Chairperson, Vice Chairperson LCV, Secretary for Health and Education, Chief Administrative Officer, District Internal Security Officer, technical staff, sub-county leaders and community members.

RDC Eseru said the facilities reflect government’s continued commitment to quality education and improved service delivery.
“These projects will give our children a better environment to learn and stay in school. We thank President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for prioritizing education,” Eseru said.
Parents and teachers at the beneficiary schools welcomed the new facilities, saying they will reduce congestion in classrooms and improve hygiene.
