Hon Minister Beatrice Akello Akori took over from Dr. Omona Kenneth Olusegun at a handover ceremony held in Kampala.
In her short acceptance speech, Akori pledged to fast-track government recovery programmes and improve service delivery for Northern Uganda.
“I will work with all stakeholders to ensure peace, stability and development in Northern Uganda. I will also follow up on PDM, restocking, Emyooga among all other government projects in Northern-region.We must consolidate the gains we have made,” Akori said.
Dr. Omona Kenneth congratulated mimister Akori and thanked staff for the support during his tenure.
The State Minister for Northern Uganda coordinates post-conflict recovery, resettlement and special programmes for the sub-region under the Office of the Prime Minister.
Akori is a good NRM moblizer known for her flexibility in delivering NRM core principle and wealth creation agenda.
