Apac,Uganda– June 25, 2026: Apac Resident District Commissioner Andrew Onyuk has ordered the arrest and impounding of motorcycles held by former district and municipal leaders who have refused to hand over to new office bearers.
“Sabotaging government work”
“I have, with immediate effect, ordered for impounding and arrest of the former political leaders who have adamantly refused to hand over official motorcycles,” Onyuk said.
He said the delay was “hindering service delivery to the wanainchi” and warned that the perpetrators risk charges of sabotaging government work.

“I have ordered with immediate effect for the impounding and arrest of former political leaders of the district and the municipal who have adamantly refused to hand over official motorcycles to new office bearers. The long delay to handover/takeover the office motorcycles are hindering service deliveries to the wanainchi. The perpetrators risk being charged for sabotaging/frustrating government work. Already the former LC3 of Atik Division is already in custody for vandalizing/removing/changing the engine of the office motorcycle. The case is registered at Apac CPS.”Said RDC Onyuk.

Onyuk revealed that the former LC3 chairperson of Atik Division is already in custody at Apac Central Police Station.
“He is accused of vandalising the office motorcycle by removing and changing the engine,” he said.
