Napak Woman MP Hon. Nakut Faith has tabled Motion to Reinstate Lapsed Parliamentary Business.

KAMPALA, UGANDA– Parliamentary Commissioner Hon. Faith Nakut has tabled a motion to reinstate business that lapsed upon the dissolution of the 11th Parliament.
The motion, tabled in accordance with Rule 245 of the Rules of Procedure, seeks to revive key reports and petitions for consideration by the House.

Among the items listed for reinstatement include; the Auditor General’s Report for year ended 31st December 2023, the National Planning Authority Annual Performance Report 2024/2025, and the Uganda Human Rights Commission Annual Report.
Rule 245 allows the House to revive business that was pending before dissolution.

Others are petitions by the National Sports Officers Association on welfare concerns, the Uganda Technical and Vocational Trainers Union on neglect of the TVET sub-sector, an inquiry into the destruction of Zoka Forest, and complaints by SMEs against UNBS over governance challenges.
