Agago ARDC Oweka Bostify “Balaam” inspects Lapirin HC III, listens to health workers’ concerns

AGAGO, UGANDA: Assistant Resident District Commissioner (Asst. RDC) for Agago District, Oweka John Bostify, popularly known as “Balaam of Agago,” on has visited Lapirin Health Centre III in Lukole Sub-county, Agago County, Agago District to reakly assess service delivery at the facility.

During the visit on 19th August 2026, Clmmissiiner John Bostify interacted with health workers, listened to their concerns and observed first-hand some of the challenges affecting health service delivery at the moment.
Sources at the facility said the Asst. RDC toured the health centre and engaged staff on issues ranging from drug supply, staffing gaps to the state of infrastructure.
Bostify, who is known in Agago for his hands-on monitoring of government programmes, has in recent months intensified field visits across parishes to track implementation of the Parish Development Model (PDM), with emphasis on corruption and accountability.
At Lapirin HC III, his focus was on understanding the situation on the ground and hearing directly from frontline health workers.
Residents in Lukole welcomed the visit, saying regular monitoring by RDCs helps to improve accountability and responsiveness in health facilities.
The Assistant RDC Bostufy cautioned that punctuality is paramount for all staff as he congratulated the incharge of Lapirin HC III for being a hardworking person.
He commendes president Yoweri Museveni for increasing the salary of Health workers and tge payment of medical intern saying it is a way of motivating health workers and urged them to work very hard always.
