NAPAK, UGANDA: Napak District leadership has launched the opening and rehabilitation of the 24km Kobolin – Achukudu via Arengepwa road in Apeitolim Sub-county at a cost of Shs150 million under Force on Account.
The launch held on 19th August, 2026 was presided over by RDC Napak Odongo Milton, LCV Chairman John Paul Kodet (Jopak), CAO Mr. Abia Robert Owili, District Engineer Sisto, District Speaker and members of the District Executive Committee (DEC).

Addressing residents of Apeitolim, RDC Odongo called for peaceful co-existence among communities, saying development can only thrive where there is peace.
He said the road will promote economic development, enhance security operations and emergency response, and improve access to agricultural markets, education and trade.
The RDC also tasked local council leaders to monitor security and all service delivery programmes in line with the NRM government’s policy of zero tolerance to corruption.
“Kisanja has no sleep, no corruption. Every leader must be vigilant and ensure government programmes benefit the people,” Odongo said.
LCV Chairman Jopak said the road is strategic for linking Kobolin to Achukudu parish, which has for long been hard to reach, especially during the rainy season.
The CAO, Mr. Abia, assured the community that the district technical team will ensure value for money and quality works.
Residents welcomed the project, saying it will ease movement and open up the area for business.
