Minister Beatrice Akori rallies Northern Uganda on unity as country marks 64 years of Independence

AGAGO – The Minister of State for Northern Uganda, Hon Akello Beatrice Akori, has wished the people of Lango, Acholi, West Nile and Uganda at large a happy Independence Day as the country celebrates 64 years of independence.
In her message, the Agago Woman MP thanked hardworking farmers, traders, boda boda riders, teachers, health workers, mothers, youth and elders of Agago District and Northern Uganda for their resilience, unity and hard work that keeps the nation moving forward.
She also thanked the NRM government for the peace, development programmes and continued efforts in building the country.
“As we celebrate today October 9, 1962 – 2026, let us remain united, hardworking and hopeful. Together, we can build a better Agago, Northern Uganda and a better Uganda,” Ms Akori said.
She wished Ugandans a happy 64th Independence Day.
