Agago North County MP Hon Benson Lugwar Ready to embrace National Cleaning Day.

According to Hon MP Benson Lugwar, the government of Uganda has declared the last Saturday of every month a mandatory National Cleaning Day, during which all Ugandans will be required to participate in community clean-up activities as part of efforts to improve sanitation and prevent disease outbreaks.
The three-hour exercise will run from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, with non-essential movement prohibited, and businesses closed.
This Saturday, August 29, 2026, Uganda will observe National Cleaning Day, and I call upon my lovely people of Agago North and Agago District at large to actively participate in the exercise.
“The exercise will run from 7:00am to 10:00am on Saturday.” Said MP Benson.

Let us come together to clean our homes, business areas, schools, market public places public spaces.
A clean environment promotes good health, protects our surroundings and builds a better community in Agago District.
I urge all business people, leaders, the youth, women and elders to take the lead and mobilize our people for this noble cause.
Let us participate, keep Agago North clean and protect our country for a better sanitation
