Lira City Tycoon Geoffrey Etwop endorses Gen.MK, says Says PLU Will Deliver Jobs, Wealth for Lango.

LIRA CITY – Prominent Lira City businessman Geoffrey Etwop has endorsed the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), saying the movement offers the best path to economic transformation and generational leadership for the Lango sub-region.
Mr Geoffrey Etwop, who is also the leader of Ober Clan and proprietor of Rhino Oil Company, made the declaration on Sunday, October 4, during the official PLU endorsement launch for Lango sub region held at Mayor’s Garden in Lira City.
The event attracted thousands of supporters from across the nine districg of Lango.
Mr Etwop, said his decision was based on the good job done by Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba and the need to secure Lango’s future.
“I have built my life here. I have invested here. I have raised my children here. When I look at the PLU agenda – patriotism, service delivery and fighting corruption and economic empowerment – I see a movement that speaks the language of our people,” he said.
The Lango launch was attended by several MPs i cluding MP OPio Acuti NRM structures including Lillian Anyati chairpeeson Kole District, Otuke East MP, Hon Julius Achon Bua, who described it as a historic moment for the sub-region.
The PLU Coordinator for Elders in Lango, Hon James Olobo Dubai, said PLU membership is free and open to members of any political party who support Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s candidature.
Mr Etwop joins other Lango leaders who have backed Gen. Kainerugaba’s 2031 presidential bid, including hon MP Mr Bernard Otim Odoch and former Kole Woman MP aspirant Ms Akech Loy Dorothy among others.
