FDC Flag Bearer For MP Kitgum Municipality Hon. Onekalit Denis Amere Duly Nominated by EC

On Tuesday thousands of people in Kitgum Municipality joined FDC MP flag bearer, for Kitgum Municipality Hon.Oneka Lit Denis Amere, as he was duly nominated to contest for the forthcoming 2026 general election.

It was part of the biggest Moblization ever making history in Kitgum municipality in decades.

“People of Kitgum Municipality, friends and Supporters , this is our chance to elect a leader who directly has a lasting plan for jobs creation , education standard improvement , healthcare improvement , and a brighter future for the unity of the people of Kitgum municipality” Said Hon. Amere Oneka Lit Denis.

After he was duly nominated, Amere addressed the media saying for a better prosperous and a united Kitgum Municipality, he is the right choice for Kitgum Municipality MP seat 2026- 2031.

However, the day was a real historic gathering showing the trust that the people of Kitgum have on him and a direct sign of his victory in the forthcoming 2026 general elections as he is known for several contributions and achievements as an MP of the 11th Parliament of Ugnada.

Okeny Ben of Pager Division, told our reporter that they will stand with Hon. Oneka Lit Denis Amere during his official nomination, suring campaign period from the 10th, November 2025 and beyond.

Lalango Betty, a 45-year- old woman – of Gangdyang ward in Pandwong Division,said she was a beneficiary of PWDs wheelchair donated by Hon. Denis Amere and that is when she realised of his powerful vision for our municipality.

The community of Kitgum Municipality on Tuesday, 22nd October 2025 flocked the celebration venue at Christ the King Ground in jubilation showing FDC sign as they vowed to take back Onekalit Denis Amere in 2026 back to the 12th parliament.

MP Denis commended the people of Kitgum Municipality for showing him an overwhelming support during his nomination held on Tuesday 22, October 2025.

He was nominated by the Independent EC Kitgum District Returning Officer.
