Mayor Too-Oroma Walter Boldly Predicts Landslide Victory in 2026 Kitgum Municipality Race.

KITGUM, UGANDA – November 26, 2025 : The former Mayor of Kitgum Municipality, Hon. Too-Oroma Walter Livingst, has expressed supreme confidence in his re-election bid, declaring that he will secure a commanding victory with over 70% of the vote in the forthcoming 2026 mayoral race.
The bold prediction was made by the Mayor during an address to the media on Wednesday Morning in Kitgum Municipality. Despite a growing field of aspirants for the 2026-2031 term, Mayor Too-Oroma stated that his track record and grassroots support would make his path to re-election “a walkover.”

“I am not insulting anybody,” Mayor Too-Oroma clarified, emphasizing that his confidence stems from a positive connection with the electorate. “I am being jolly and down to earth to the voters.”
His campaign, which is already in full swing, is reported to be gaining massive daily support from several electorate across key divisions, including Pager Division, Pandwong, and Kitgum Central Division. This widespread backing is largely attributed to his first-term achievements and his forward-looking agenda.
Central to his campaign promises are several key issues affecting the municipality. Mayor Too-Oroma is advocating for robust wealth creation initiatives, improving the welfare of market women, enhancing teacher welfare, the urgent upgrading of municipal roads, and a focused drive on job creation for the area’s youth.
“He has consistently been gaining full support on a daily basis from the electorate,” a campaign official noted, highlighting the momentum building around his candidacy.
Beyond his political platform, the Mayor’s character and personal faith have also been presented as key pillars of his campaign. Described as a “true believer in God and a God-fearing person,” Hon. Too-Oroma has built a reputation for supporting numerous churches and youth groups without discrimination towards any religion.
