NRM Heavy‑Weight Bosmic Otim Joined Agago WMP. Hon. Beatrice Akori’s Campaign Rally in Ogole Parish.
AGAGO, UGANDA- 28 December 2025 : In a high‑profile stop on her re‑election campaign , Hon. Beatrice Akello Akori, the incumbent Woman MP for Agago District, was joined by senior presidential advisor and NRM Northern mobilizer Hon. Bosmic Joyce Otim at a packed rally in Ogole Parish on recently. Otim’s unannounced appearance energized the crowd and underscored the ruling National Resistance Movement’s (NRM) confidence in Akori’s bid for a second term in Uganda’s 12th Parliament.
Flanked by party supporters, Otim was ushered onto the stage by NRM supporters and officials in Ogole. After a brief introduction, he praised Akori’s “forward‑thinking leadership” and “unwavering commitment to the people of Agago district simply because she is a vibrant leader.”
“Hon. Akori has delivered tangible results for our constituents— from improved road networks to enhanced health services. Her vision aligns perfectly with the NRM’s wealth‑creation agenda, and I stand behind her as we push for a more prosperous Agago,” Otim declared to an audience estimated at over 1,000.
The rally, organized by Hon.Akello Akori’s campaign team , featured a procession with traditional drummers, cultural dancers and banners bearing the party’s colors and that of MP Akori.

Akori, who secured a decisive victory in the NRM party primary elections recently used the occasion to outline her legislative manifesto for the next five years. She highlighted ongoing projects in education, agriculture and youth empowerment, and promised to champion a “wealth‑creation framework” that would extend protecting the gain to the district’s most vulnerable communities.
“Our people deserve opportunities that translate into real income,” Akori said. “With the support of Hon. Bosmic Otim and the NRM’s wealth‑creation strategy, we will unlock agriculture potential, support small‑scale enterprises and ensure that every Ugandan in Agago can thrive,” she added.
Political Landscape Ahead of Polls
The rally comes as the election calendar tightens. The forthcoming general election, slated for 15 January 2026, will pit Akori against a slate of challengers, including:

Former Agago district woman MP Franka Akello of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)
Nancy Obita Anek – Independent , Miria Omara contesting as an independent candidate among others.
Political analysts note that while the opposition has mounted a vigorous campaign, the NRM’s organizational strength in the region, bolstered by senior figures such as Otim, may prove decisive.
Local leaders welcomed Otim’s involvement as a sign that the central government “takes Agago seriously.”
“Having the president’s advisor here shows the importance of our district in the national development agenda,” said one of the voters of Ogole who spoke on condition of anonimity . “We are hopeful that this partnership will translate into more jobs and better services.”
