Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero as Lira city Woman Member of Parliament in the upcoming January 15, 2026 general elections.

Dr. Aceng, who serves as Uganda’s Minister of health is now positioning herself to another term of office 2026-2031, in her next phase of leadership with a difference. Known for her hard work approach, she has championed improved healthcare standard, education reform, water access improvement, struggles for the Akii-Bua Ólympic stadium ongoing construction , and youth empowerment among others.
Supporters emphasize that her leadership has been instrumental in securing key development projects, including the upgrade of Lira Regional Referral Hospital including,tgw establishment of Regional blood Bank, satellite laboratory , and expanded water and sanitation systems.
“Dr. Aceng doesn’t just promise change—she delivers it,” said Sarah Akello, a youth advocate from Lira city west Division. “She listens to the people, works with local leaders, and brings resources back home. Re-electing her means building on what we’ve already started.”
