Kwania MP-Elect Hon.Tonny Eron Vows to Prioritize Development in New Parliamentary Role

KWANIA, UGANDA — January 28, 2026: In a heartfelt message to the people of Kwania County, newly elected Member of Parliament (MP) Hon. Tonny Eron has hailed his triumph in the January 15, 2026, general elections as a historic mandate for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and pledged to champion transformative development for his constituents. Speaking at a media briefing in Kwania on Wednesday evening, Hon. Eron, who secured the NRM’s parliamentary candidacy in the constituency, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support that enabled the ruling party to retain key elective positions in the district.
“I extend my utmost appreciation to the people of Kwania Constituency for joining hands and unprecedentedly voting for NRM flagbearers at all levels,” Eron stated, emphasizing that the landslide victory “reflects the trust in our ideology and vision for progress/stability.” The MP-elect also lauded the electorate for re-electing President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, NRM MPs, and other local leaders at Local council (V) level, calling it a shared commitment to advancing Kwania’s future.
Central to Eron’s agenda as MP-elect is a focus on infrastructure, youth empowerment, women’s rights, education, healthcare, and access to clean water. “I commit to work selflessly for the people of Kwania, prioritizing socio-economic transformation,” he declared, vowing to advocate for “the urgent needs of the community” within Kwania and the broader Lango sub-region.
