Obongi District Security Committee’s Fruitful Meeting Gives Hope to the Wanahinchi.

Obongi, Uganda – April 4, 2026: The District Security Committee meeting, successfully convened and chaired by the RDC Obongi, Mr. Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, recently outlined key issues in preparation for the upcoming Easter holidays—a period often targeted by disruptive elements.
The meeting was attended by ARDCs Komakech Robert Obina and Habiba Furaha Umuhoza, the DISO’s office, DPC Obongi, OC Crime, CAO, LCV Chairperson (represented by Hon Azubu Micheal), and other key stakeholders. Members assessed the prevailing security situation and agreed on a number of key resolutions aimed at ensuring peaceful Easter holidays, including intensifying joint security operations, enhancing community policing, and increasing public awareness on vigilance and crime prevention measures.
The Chairperson emphasized teamwork, professionalism, and timely response to any emerging threats. The public was urged to remain alert, cooperate with security agencies, and report any suspicious activities during the Easter period. The committee reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property before, during, and after the Easter celebrations.
When speaking to our reporter, Obongi RDC Mpimbaza Hashaka assured the public of total peace and security as the Easter celebrations kicked off on Good Friday.
